- Ramped center knobs - High shoulder blocks - Available in two Plus sizes
- All conditions Fat Bike tread
- Inverted tread design and knurled tread surface are low profile and fast rolling without sacrificing traction - Front and Rear application
- Lighter and faster than the original - Control and predictability of the original but with less rolling resistance and weight - Front and Rear application
The Maxxis Aspen is one of our premier XC race tires. A low center tread height allows the Aspen to roll quickly but substantial – for XC – side knobs provide cornering traction.
Greg Minnaar’s signature tire – the Maxxis Assegai – provides tenacious, predictable grip across the entire profile no matter the lean angle. The Assegai can be used front and rear for a surefooted feel or as a front paired with a faster rolling rear tire. Rubber: Dual compound (best for dry, hard conditions) 3C MaxxTerra (best for mixed conditions) 3C MaxxGrip (best for soft, wet conditions) Casings: 60 TPI + EXO (general trail use) EXO+ (heavy duty trail use) DoubleDown (enduro use) Downhill (DH race, bike park, gravity) Wide Trail (WT) sizes are optimized for 30-35mm inner width rims Tubeless Ready specs are denoted with a “TR” in the tables below Category: Trail, Enduro, Downhill Recommended use: All trail, enduro, and downhill conditions Recommended installation: Front

BMX race tire: The most advanced inverse-tread race tire on the market. Maxxis created a web of tread over the casing, thereby inventing a way to place countless effective edges on the same plain as the rolling surface. The result is a tire that rolls like a race tire, but can stick to concrete and hardpack equally well.
Designed in conjunction with Aussie DH racer Troy Brosnan, the Dissector seeks to minimize drag while retaining cornering control. This versatile tire can be used as a front, a pair, or as a rear depending on trail conditions.
The new version of the Maxxis Forekaster is aimed squarely at modern short travel (100mm-130mm) trail bikes – aka the “downcountry” segment. Intended to be a “Goldilocks” tire, the new Forekaster (released July 2022) rolls faster than a Minion or even the Dissector but provides more predictable cornering, climbing, and braking traction than the Aspen or Rekon.
The original Forekaster was designed as a wet weather option for XC, while the new version is aimed squarely at modern short travel (100mm-130mm) trail bikes - aka the “downcountry” segment. Intended to be a “Goldilocks” tire, the new Forekaster rolls fast but also provides solid cornering and braking traction in a broad range of trail conditions.
Maxxis’ all-purpose road race tire receives a refresh for 2021 with a new lighter weight casing, upgraded puncture protection, and a revised tread pattern. The result is a lighter, faster, and more durable High Road.
The Maxxis Ikon is a versatile XC tire designed to perform in a broad range of conditions. With its predictable handling, the Ikon is also a favorite among our slopestyle athletes.
With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it’s no wonder why the Minion DHF is one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking. Whether riding local trails, a backcountry epic, racing enduro or World Cup downhill, there’s a Minion DHF spec to meet your needs.

With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control.

Refined, redesigned, and ready to shred any line - Ramped and siped tread to roll fast and track straight under braking - Wide trail (WT) casing specs are optimized for 30-35mm inner width rims With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. With numerous race wins under its belt and untold miles of backroad adventures, the Rambler is our most popular gravel offering. Tightly-packed center knobs are ramped for rolling efficiency on hardpack roads and asphalt. The cornering knobs are spaced farther apart for control in variable conditions.
When the road conditions are unknown, choose the Maxxis Ravager. Large side knobs provide extra traction in deep, loose gravel and mud.
The Maxxis Rekon Race is a semi-slick XC race tire that features the lowest profile tread in our XC line. It is a great choice for dry XC trails and short track racing.
After gathering years of data and feedback from our World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes, the Shorty was redesigned in 2021. The knob layout has been altered to improve wet traction, cornering performance, and mud shedding abilities. The narrower 2.40? casing improves frame and fork clearance for when things get really sloppy and reduces weight.
